Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie call it quits in epic legal battle

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have reportedly chosen to settle their acrimonious legal dispute over their jointly owned French winery, Château Miraval, through mediation rather than pursuing further court battles. According to recent court filings obtained from TMZ, Jolie, 48, and Pitt, 59, have mutually agreed to attempt mediation as a means to resolve their disagreements concerning the future of Château Miraval. This development comes in the wake of allegations from Jolie's former investment company, Nouvel, accusing Pitt and other "co-conspirators" of trying to maintain control over Château Miraval by allegedly misusing and depleting its assets. The court documents claimed that Pitt had mismanaged the company's funds by directing substantial amounts towards personal endeavours, such as extravagant swimming pool renovations, repeated reconstruction of a staircase, and investing millions in restoring a recording studio. The legal dispute initially arose when Pitt filed a lawsuit against his former wife, claiming that she had sold her share of the winery to a Russian oligarch in 2021. According to a court filing, Pitt appeared upset over Jolie's decision to sell Nouvel to Stoli instead of him, and he allegedly failed to treat Nouvel as an equal partner in their business dealings. Furthermore, there were allegations that Pitt attempted to leverage the winery business to silence Jolie regarding the circumstances surrounding their divorce, which included allegations of abuse and disputes over child custody. Jolie had previously accused Pitt of physical abuse towards her and two of their children during a flight in 2016, leading to their separation later that same year. According to documents reported by the New York Times in 2022, Jolie's team claimed that Pitt engaged in a prolonged outburst during a flight from France to California in September 2016. The allegations included claims that Pitt had choked one of the children and struck another in the face, and had grabbed Jolie by the head and shaken her. In response to these accusations, Pitt's lawyer asserted that Pitt took responsibility for his actions but would not accept false claims against him. The actor has faced numerous personal attacks and misrepresentations throughout the legal proceedings. The former celebrity couple purchased Château Miraval, a picturesque country estate and winery located in the south of France, in 2008. Angelina Jolie's bombshell allegations against Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie has claimed that her ex Brad Pitt was physically abusive towards her and two of their six children on a flight in 2016. The Hollywood actress’s legal team claimed that Pitt grabbed Jolie’s head and shook her then choked one of their children and struck another when they tried to defend her. Pitt’s representation vehemently denied the allegations saying the allegations are "another rehash that only harms the family”. The couple have been locked in a legal fight over their French home and winery in which the description of the abuse came to light. News of the alleged abuse first came to light soon after it happened, however the details were kept private in divorce documents. Further investigations by the FBI and Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services found that no action against Pitt was necessary. Pitt was then granted 50-50 custody of the children but the decision was soon appealed by Jolie and eventually became nullified. Reports of the abuse were first reported by The New York Times which read that on September 14, 2016, Jolie, Pitt and their six children were travelling from the winery, Chateau Miraval, to Los Angeles. "Pitt's aggressive behavior started even before the family got to the airport, with Pitt having a confrontation with one of the children. After the flight took off, Jolie approached Pitt and asked him what was wrong," the filing says. "Pitt accused her of being too deferential to the children and verbally attacked her." "He pulled her into the bathroom and began yelling at her. Pitt grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her, and then grabbed her shoulders and shook her again before pushing her into the bathroom wall." It is then when one of their children verbally defended Jolie, which caused Pitt to lash out. "Pitt lunged at his own child and Jolie grabbed him from behind to stop him. To get Jolie off his back, Pitt threw himself backwards into the airplane's seats injuring Jolie's back and elbow," the filing says. "The children rushed in and all bravely tried to protect each other. Before it was over, Pitt choked one of the children and struck another in the face." Pitt then proceeded to pour beer on Jolie, and beer and red wine on the kids. Jolie reported the incident to police, which also showed a photo of a bruise on Jolie's elbow and a "rug-burn type injury" on her hand. Despite all this, it was agreed that Pitt would not be charged. Brad Pitt has opened up about his high-profile divorce from Angelina Jolie in a candid new interview. The Oscar-winning actor told <a href="https://www.gq.com/story/brad-pitt-august-cover-profile" target="_blank" rel="noopener">GQ magazine</a> that he felt deep turmoil over the split, but believes deep sadness is a vital part of growth. “I think all our hearts are broken,” Pitt said. “I always felt very alone in my life, alone growing up as a kid, alone even out here, and it’s really not ’til recently that I have had a greater embrace of my friends and family.” Pitt and Jolie, 47, ended their 12-year relationship in 2016, prompting a years-long divorce battle which is yet to be finalised, although they were declared legally single in 2019. The 58-year-old also said he found joy "later in life" after years of "low-grade depression". “I was always moving with the currents, drifting in a way, and onto the next,” he told the publication. “I think I spent years with a low-grade depression, and it’s not until coming to terms with that, trying to embrace all sides of self – the beauty and the ugly – that I’ve been able to catch those moments of joy.” Pitt also revealed that his acting days are numbered, after a decades long career that saw him star in iconic films including Ocean’s Eleven, Fight Club, Inglourious Basterds, and more recently, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. “I consider myself on my last leg,” he said. “This last semester or trimester. What is this section gonna be? Angelina Jolie, or more specifically her hair, has gone viral after an unfortunate disaster on the red carpet. The Hollywood actress walked the carpet for the premiere of Marvel’s The Eternals at the Rome Film Festival on Sunday, and became the biggest talking point of the night. Despite wearing a show-stopping silver Atelier Versace gown, her dodgy hair extensions became the hot topic. “I never worked with him again”: Angelina Jolie on Harvey Weinstein

Angelina Jolie has shared more about her experience with convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein, revealing in a new interview that she turned down a role in Martin Scorsese’s 2004 film The Aviator to avoid working with him. “If you get yourself out of the room, you think he attempted but didn’t, right?” Jolie told The Guardian while reflecting on filming the Weinstein-produced film Playing by Heart in 1998 when she was 21. “The truth is that the attempt and the experience of the attempt is the assault.” Jolie has previously spoken about the incident with Weinstein as a “bad experience”, but now labels it as an assault. “It was beyond a pass, it was something I had to escape. I stayed away and warned people about him,” she said in the interview. “I remember telling Johnny [Lee Miller], my first husband, who was great about it, to spread the word to other guys - don’t let girls go alone with him. “I was asked to do Aviator, but I said no because he was involved. I never associated or worked with him again.” Though her first husband stood by her, her most recent partner, Brad Pitt, was initially less supportive. Of course it hurt,” Jolie said. “It was hard for me when Brad [worked with him].” Pitt later made headlines for a 2019 interview with CNN, where he disavowed Weinstein. The Fight Club star also said he had confronted Weinstein in 1995, after his then-girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow said the producer had sexually harassed her. Pitt is currently producing She Said, a film on the New York Times’ investigation of Weinstein. Jolie and Pitt finalised their divorce in 2019, though a battle over custody of their six children continues. Weinstein has responded to the allegations in a statement provided to TMZ, saying the claims were “brazenly untrue and clickbait publicity”. “You’re Angelina Jolie, every female and male in the world, I’m sure, shows interest in you. Angelina Jolie selling iconic French Chateau for $61 million

Angelina Jolie is selling her estate in Provence, France, after several legal issues. The actress filed for divorce from fellow actor Brad Pitt over five years ago, yet the couple remain linked due to the glorious French Chateau that was once a blessing, but now a plague for them. The pair purchased the estate back in 2008, for a reported €45 million (AUD $72 million). The incredible property includes several residential and non-residential structures, from a rundown, adorable chapel to a high-functioning farm. What gave the chateau a firm reputation, other than its high-profile owners, was its glorious pink wine which won them Wine Spectator’s award for best rosé in the world, back in 2013. Jolie claims since the couple split back in 2016, Pitt has prevented her from selling the estate. In June, the mother-of-four even went so far as to file a petition to ask the judge to lift the order that prevents a transfer of assets so she could finally be rid of the property. Considering the couple purchased the estate prior to their nuptials in 2014, Jolie’s lawyers say the glorious French chateau should solely be considered hers. “After all these years of trying to extricate herself from being business partners with her ex-husband on acceptable financial terms, Ms. Jolie is extremely desirous of closing the pending agreement for the sale of Nouvel, LLC, and requests that the Court issue an order lifting the ATROs and specifying that they shall not apply to Ms. Jolie’s sale of Nouvel, LLC,” the actress’ legal team stated in a document that was obtained by Us Weekly. The rumour mill has claimed the actress has plans to sell it to a willing buyer for an estimate of USD $61 million.

Angelina Jolie’s secret Sydney home hits the market for $11 million

A stunning Sydney home used by Angelina Jolie while she filmed Unbroken has hit the market. The Hollywood actress secretly used the home as a private wharf to secretly travel to Cockatoo Island, and now it is up for $11 million. The bright and airy house at 37 Duke Street, Balmain East was used by Jolie specifically for its private jetty, as she would board the boat that would then ferry her to Cockatoo Island undetected to direct her Academy Award-nominated film. Marcus Lloyd-Jones from Modern House said that the privacy of the home was what entranced Jolie, and now other buyers too. The property sits at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac that is used by only two other residences. The Nordon Jago Architects-designed house sits on a 790-square-metre waterfront block with its own private beach, leased jetty and mooring for a 50-foot boat and boat storage. “Everything about this house is on a grand scale from the five-car garage to the 21.5-metre lap pool,” Mr Lloyd-Jones said. “I’d like somebody to show me a larger lap pool in Balmain and the list keeps going. “If somebody has a car collection or a large boat it’s truly the best of Sydney. That’s what’s on offer.”

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's divorce proceedings are still underway, and now new court documents submitted by the actress have claimed there were multiple incidents of alleged domestic abuse. Jolie reportedly filed court documents March 12 – ones that will allegedly unveil allegations of domestic abuse from both the Maleficent star and the couple's children: Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14, twins Knox and Vivienne, 12. “This is just another case of Angelina changing the narrative when it suits her,” one source told Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday, March 17. <img style="width: 500px; height: 281.25px;" src="https://oversixtydev.blob.core.windows.net/media/7840357/angelina-jolie-brad-pitt-2.jpg" alt="" data-udi="umb://media/631d7b882e0e49739f30689890d47309" /> “Aside from the one accusation that she made in 2016 that was investigated and dismissed, there have never been any other records, police reports, or even accusations until it suited her case.” The source added, “No one else knows what she might say now, but that background is important.” Another insider told Us Weekly that the documents were nothing more than a rouse to "hurt" the actor. “Over the past four and a half years there have been a number of claims made by Angelina that have been reviewed and not substantiated,” the insider said. “The children have been used by Angelina to hurt Brad before and this is more of that behaviour. They separated in 2016 after two years of marriage, and were declared legally single in 2019. In an interview with Vogue India in June 2020, the actress opened up about the pair's split. “I separated for the well-being of my family," she revealed. “It was the right decision. I continue to focus on their healing. Some have taken advantage of my silence, and the children see lies about themselves in the media, but I remind them that they know their own truth and their own minds.” Jolie also admitted in February 2021 to British Vogue that the divorce had “been pretty hard.” “I’ve been focusing on healing our family. Maddox Jolie-Pitt has opened up about his dad Brad Pitt, giving a brief insight into the difficulty of their relationship. It seems their relationship hasn’t improved, he admitted in a rare interview about his famous father. The 18-year-old who is studying biochemistry at Yonsei University in South Korea, said on film obtained by In Touch Weekly that he wasn’t sure if his father would visit him while he is studying abroad. “I don’t know about that [or] what’s happening,” he told a reporter. Maddox also spoke on their relationship being over or improving to which he said “Well, whatever happens, happens”. Reports show Maddox and his 55-year-old Hollywood heavyweight father had a falling out in 2016 after an incident aboard a private plane. Allegedly, Pitt hit his eldest son in a rage - a few days later, his wife Angelina Jolie filed for divorce. Pitt fell under investigation by US authorities after being accused of physically and verbally abusing his children during an angry outburst, TMZ reported in September 2016. Pitt vehemently denied allegations of violence against his children, however he did admit to screaming at his son. The FBI cleared Pitt of any violent wrongdoings and said they would not file charges against him. 44-year-old Angelina dropped Maddox off at university in August. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's six children have all grown up. To many, they might still be seen as young kids. However, the oldest is now 17 and the youngest is 10. They’re no longer little kids! Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 12, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 10, have grown up with Jolie and Pitt as their parents, which usually means living in the media spotlight. Public appearances of all six kids together are extremely rare, however the Jolie-Pitt brood enjoyed a family outing this week when they attended a screening of The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind in New York. Maddox, Zahara and Pax were adopted from orphanages in Cambodia, Ethiopia and Vietnam, whereas Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox are Jolie's and Pitt's biological children. After 12 years together, Jolie and Pitt decided to split in September 2016 and Jolie has been seeking primary custody of all six children. Angelina Jolie has revealed that she tried to save her marriage to ex-husband Brad Pitt by working on the film By the Sea together. The couple met while working on Mr & Mrs Smith in 2005 and have six children together. They hadn’t worked tougher again until the 2015 film about a marriage in crisis, which Jolie also wrote and directed. “We had met working together and we worked together well,” Jolie told The Hollywood Reporter’s podcast, Awards Chatter. “I wanted us to do some serious work together ... I thought it would be a good way for us to communicate.” However, Jolie said working on the film with Pitt may not have helped their marriage. “In some ways it was, and in some ways we learned some things,” she said. “But there was a heaviness probably during that situation that carried on and it wasn’t because of the film. “It was something that we were dealing [with] ... things happen for different reasons, and things ... why did I write that exact piece? Why did we feel that way when we made it? I’m not sure. “A piece of art can be something that’s healing or something that’s difficult,” added Jolie. “I don’t know. I’m glad we did that film because we did explore something together. Whatever it was maybe it didn’t solve certain things, but we did communicate something that needed to be communicated to each other.” Jolie also spoke about the difficulties of divorce while promoting her most recent directorial effort, First They Killed My Father. “Sometimes maybe it appears I am pulling it all together. But really I am just trying to get through my days.” “I don’t enjoy being single. It’s not something I wanted,” she said in an interview with The Telegraph. “There are no upsides, there’s nothing nice about it. It’s just hard.”

Angelina Jolie has revealed in a new interview with Vanity Fair that she’s been suffering from two new health issues. The actress was diagnosed with hypertension and Bell’s palsy last year, after a very public split with Brad Pitt. “It’s just been the hardest time, and we’re just kind of coming up for air,” Jolie told Vanity Fair in the new interview. “We’re all trying to do our best to heal our family.” Jolie has since recovered from Bell’s Palsy, which caused one side of her face to droop as a result of facial nerve damage. “Sometimes women in families put themselves last,” she said, “until it manifests itself in their own health.” In 2013, Jolie underwent a preventative double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery after testing positive for the BRCA1 gene, a mutation of the gene that increases a woman's lifetime risk for developing breast and ovarian cancer. In March 2015, she had her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed. She said she immediately went into menopause. “I can’t tell if it’s menopause or if it’s just been the year I’ve had,” Jolie joked about the past year.

At the beginning, you want to see each other all the time. Then you get jealous when they’re gone too long and that’s exciting. The entertainment world has been rocked by reports that Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, her husband of 12 years. The Hollywood power couple, known collectively as “Brangelina”, have six children together. Entertainment website <a href="http://www.tmz.com/2016/09/20/angelina-joile-files-for-divorce-brad-pitt/" target="_blank">TMZ</a> broke the story, sharing a photo of the document filed by Jolie, who cited irreconcilable differences as grounds for the separation, claiming she was “extremely upset” by Pitt’s parenting methods. According to <a href="http://www.people.com/article/brad-pitt-fled-to-france-fighting-with-angelina-jolie" target="_blank">People</a>, 41-year-old Jolie didn’t agree with Pitt’s “strict” approach to their children. “He has wanted the kids to have more structure,” an insider said. “Brad will get frustrated sometimes and yell at the kids. Angelina always had a more relaxed attitude when it came to the kids.
